Julia D’Arrigo, 2016 ALL NEAC!

Julia followed up her 2015 All NEAC and Rookie of the Year honors by being
recognized by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as not 
only a force on the field, but in the classroom.  In 2016, Julia was named to the 
CoSIDA Academic All-District Team and was also named to the North Eastern 
Athletic Conference South Division All-Conference 1st Team and currently has a 
3.92 grade point average.

D'Arrigo, majoring in Business Administration, led the Chargers with a program-
record and NEAC-leading 51 hits this season and scored 48 runs, also the most in 
the conference. She led the NEAC in doubles with 17 and her 95 total bases were 
also the top mark in the conference. She drove in 36 runs and smashed five home 
runs, both the second-best mark in the NEAC.

Julia also won seven games this season as a pitcher and in just two seasons in a 
Lancaster Bible uniform, she has 95 hits and 75 runs scored.

Sarah Calta named
2016 ALL BIG TEN Second Team

Sarah busted onto the Terps scene in her junior year, starting 43 games and batting 
.331 from the plate (.408 in conference play).  Sarah was the captain of the Terps 
outfield and won the ICA Academic Achievement Award for highest GPA on the 
softball team.

(Above) Former Black Ice player Allison Short, 2015 CAC Rookie of the Year, 
had another impressive season (2016) in the circle for the Bobcats.  Allison 
totaled 10 wins, including an upset over No. 8 Christopher Newport.  She 
finished the year with a 2.75 ERA (6th in the conference).  She also finished in 
the top 5 in conference strikeouts averaging over 4 per game!
